CHESS TOURNAMENT IN HONOR
OF THE NIS YOUTH DAY

 Under the motto "Towards Nis Youth Day" in Palilula Municipality, in the primary school "King Peter", was organized the traditional chess tournament for the students of primary and secondary schools. It was an opportunity for some competitors to try out themselves for the first time in this competition, while for some, but experienced competitors, this was a good exercise before big competitions. Chess sports competition, prepared by the Chess Federation of the Nisava District in the cooperation with the Office for Youth and under the auspices of Palilula and the Youth Council of the City of Nis, was opened by president Boban Džunić.

PAVEMENT FOR TWO STREETS

 Within the Program of communal infrastructure maintenance-periodic maintenance in Palilula municipality, the reconstruction of the new roads in Delijski Vis settlement was completed. Streets Ivangradska and Gabrovacka reka streets got their pavement.
On this occasion, president of Palilula Municipality Boban Džunić with associates, members of the Municipal Council, the municipal coordinator of the Office for Youth, visited this settlement and spoke with citizens.The value of works on reconstruction of the street, in the words of president Boban Džunić is slightly more than one million.

HELPING VULNERABLE PALILULA

 A year ago, at the initiative of Palilula Municipality, a branch of the Center for Social Work "Sveti Sava" was opened in the local community building "Djuka Dinic". In this way, the Centre for Social Work with its services is closer to users. Over 60 percent of social assistance, according to records of the Centre, comes from the territory of Palilula and most seem to be Roma population. That was the reason why the president of Palilula Boban Džunić visited this settlement with volunteers of Municipal Youth Office, and donated vulnerable Roma families humanitarian packages with basic food and clothing.

 MANAGEMENT of Palilula Municipality - Nis provides services in accordance with the high standards of work. It has successfully passed the re-certification audit of the implementation of a new quality management system that will have been applied up to Augurst 9 2018. The representatives of the certification company LL-C from Prague-Czech Republic, through authorized CERT PLUS, the Agency for engineering management system, estimated that the Management Board of Palilula meets very strict requirements of quality standards ISO 9001: 2008.

RECONSTRUCTION OF MRAMORSKI POTOK ROAD

 President of Palilula Municipality Boban Dzunic with his associates visited Marmorski Potok where the works on the reconstruction and paving of the road of the second rang that leads to Aleksandrovo (border of Merosina Municipality) up to Mramorski Potok started. Locals say that the solving of this problem means a lot to them since at last they will get the adapted traffic road that leads to the center of the settlement. There are 400 people living there, so the new road will make easier everyday life. This road connects us with the city and Merosina Municipality and also Prokuplje.

The host is Equestrian club that has the state champion in these disciples. This sport event was opened by Palilula president Boban Dzunic.I wish to explain why we are as a Municipality interested in this sport and why we are supporting these activities in our rural areas - emphasized president Dzunic at the opening of of the state championship in equestrian sport. Horse breeding is today in the world very much appreciable business. Serbia has ideal conditions together with good results of our contestants to provide adequate economical ambiance for the development of rural and country tourism.
